Korea is globally known for advanced medical technology, skilled doctors, and efficient healthcare systems.
One of the most popular forms of medical tourism in Korea is vision correction surgery. It can often be completed in just one day. This makes it ideal for travelers with limited time.
At B&VIIT Eye Center, international patients can combine world-class eye surgery with a short, comfortable stay in Korea.
Why Vision Correction Is the Perfect One-Day Medical Tourism Course
- Same-day examination and surgery available
- Short recovery time for selected procedures
- Easy to combine with light sightseeing and rest
- Ideal for business travelers or short-term visitors
Depending on your eye condition and length of stay, our medical team will recommend the safest and most suitable procedure.
Recommended Stay After Vision Correction Surgery
The recommended length of stay in Korea varies by surgery type.
For optimal safety and postoperative care, we generally recommend staying in Korea for approximately one week whenever possible.
Recommended Stay by Surgery Type
- SMILE / SMILE Pro: 2 days
- LASIK: 7 days
- LASEK (PRK): 1 month
- PIOL (Phakic IOL): 7 days
Important Guidelines for International Patients
- If your stay after surgery is between 2 and 7 days, available surgical options will be limited to SMILE or SMILE Pro only, as these procedures allow faster recovery and safer short-term follow-up.
- Other procedures such as LASIK, LASEK (PRK), or PIOL require a minimum stay of at least 7 days after surgery to ensure proper healing and postoperative monitoring.
- Our medical team will recommend the most appropriate surgical method based on:
- Your eye condition
- Examination results
- Length of stay after surgery
This personalized approach ensures the safest and best possible outcome.
