We conduct more than 60 types of precise examination in 15 stages over a period of 2~3 hours to ensure safer surgery. Also, we implement 100% Avellino corneal dystrophy test (universal DNA test) for all clients.
Avellino corneal dystrophy is a genetic disorder in which abnormal material like proteins accumulates on the scarred cornea. It is known that 1 out of every 870 people is a potential carrier of this disorder in Korea. Carriers of Avellino corneal dystrophy, with mutations in their gene, may be at risk of experiencing corneal opacity, vision regression, and eventual blindness when undergoing laser eye surgery. Therefore, it is advised to screen the five most common corneal dystrophy in the world at once with genetic tests to determine the presence of corneal dystrophies.
5 corneal dystrophies that occur most frequently worldwide

We were able to protect approximately 50 patients from the risk of vision loss from corneal dystrophy over the past 10 years. As such, safe vision correction surgery is assured by eliminating in advance any possibility of losing vision after surgery.
